Spring is finally here and the S/S 2024 runways provided ample colour inspiration to carry into the warmer weather. Here are the colours that were especially favoured by designers this season and where you can find them at Yorkville Village.

Cool Lilac

Surprisingly versatile, it effortlessly complements classic neutrals like grey and navy. Yet, its magic truly shines when paired with bold hues like bright red or even the softest pale yellow, creating delightful and unexpected combinations.

Pale Green

This season's runway featured an array of green hues, but one shade in particular caught our attention: A certain shade of lichen. Or is it pistachio? Though its name may be uncertain, its allure is undeniable. Picture it as a nuanced neutral, akin to sand infused with a hint of colour, adding a delicate dimension to your ensembles.

Pale Yellow

Buttery yellows featured heavily on runways this season. Fresh and inviting, the soft shade is an easy way to add subtle colour to your wardrobes by substituting it for wardrobe staples, white and cream.

L to R: Jacquemus, JW Anderson, Proenza Schouler, Bally, Loewe, Maison Margiela, Loewe

Mustard Yellow

Also in the yellow family, mustard is typically warmer and more saturated than the pale yellow above and thus has a completely different character. That didn’t stop designers like JW Anderson from incorporating both into the same collection.

L to R: Bottega Veneta, Marc Jacobs, JW Anderson, Alaia, Miu Miu, Miu Miu

Chocolate Brown

The brown on S/S 2024 runways was milkier (and more red) than the dark espresso shade that was pervasive this past winter. In our work, we find brown to be the most divisive colour — you either love it or hate it! If you’re the latter, not to worry, there are so many other colours to play with this season. If you love it, I hope you’re enjoying the surge of brown in fashion right now!

L to R: Unknown, Saint Laurent, LIONNESS, Fendi, Fendi, Loewe
