You’ll find beautiful murals, oversized installations, inflatable sculptures, a block party and more at this year’s lively Yorkville Murals (YVM) festival.This year’s theme is No Empty Spaces, and the free annual event will see artists including Ness Lee, Ben Johnston, Jordan Sook, and Julia Monson transform over 50,000-square-feet of space in Yorkville over the last weekend of August.At Yorkville Village, there will be an art installation by Canadian artist Jordan Sook in The Oval. “Natural Selection,” an eight-foot sphere made using basketballs, explores "the inherent human desire to reach new heights and pursue personal and collective elevation.”Between August 26–27, 2023, you can expect to find everything from a larger-than-life hopscotch game and free mini-golf to live painting by local and international artists like Dalkhafine and Elvis Mourao on Yorkville Avenue and Bellair Street.
