1 cup — white sugar1 1/2 cup — brown sugar9 tbsp — olive oil3/4 cup — shortening1 cup — water3 cups — all purpose flour1 tsp — baking powder1 1/2 tsp — baking soda1 pinch — salt1 cup — dark chocolate chips
- In a large bowl, beat white sugar, brown sugar, shortening & olive oil (preferably using a Kitchen Aid or hand mixer)
- Once fully combined (should like white, creamy & fluffy) pour in the water while mixing on low speed
- Mix on high for 5-minutes
- In a separate bowl, sift the all purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt
- Gently combine all ingredients into one bowl
- Once fully combined, fold in the plant-based dark chocolate chips
- With a large ice cream scoop or spoon, divide the dough into 6 equal portions, and roll into symmetrical spheres
- Line your baking sheet with parchment paper and place your dough spheres adequately spaced out
- Want to elevate them even more? Add a sprinkle of Maldon Sea Salt for a little extra kick
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees and bake for 10-12 minutes
