Though a pandemic might have halted certain services, it can't halt her #PrettyRad attitude. Here's what else she had to say about owning and operating a small business in 2020!
If you were knowingly going to be stranded on a deserted island, which one Radford product MUST you have?
Victoria: With all the harsh elements like sun, rain & wind on an island, we love our 24K Gold Masks to soothe and treat the skin. Plus you'll have lots of time for self-care on a deserted island

Dare we say it's been an unprecedented year - what is your biggest takeaway of 2020?
Victoria: Self-care is so important. Checking in with yourself to make sure you're staying healthy both physically and mentally. Doing little things everyday for yourself like taking a walk, reading a book, doing an at-home facial or hair treatment, all help to keep you happy and healthy. You can't focus on work, caring for your loved ones, or any other stressors that come along if you haven't taken care of yourself first.

What's your best piece of advice for other small businesses?
Victoria: Be ready to pivot and change. I think the strongest businesses are ones that understand their strengths and core values, but are willing to evolve. Look at your top sellers and strongest revenue streams and ask why they're working and what you can do to replicate that. At the start of the pandemic we had to pivot to online sales. We focused on at-home treatments, virtual consultations and Instagram tutorials, and we were very grateful that our clients - both old and new - supported our business. And when we were allowed to open again, we had to adjust our appointments since we couldn't have as many people in the studio. For example, we added express facial treatments for clients to do while processing their hair colour. And now since we can't take masks off for facials, we've adjusted our facials to allow the clients to keep their mask on, and then remove it for an LED light treatment when the skin therapist leaves the room. We don't have it all figured out, but we do know we've had to get creative and be willing to be flexible. And we've been very lucky to have the support of our clients and customers along the way.Follow Radford Studio and see all the amazing and innovative tricks their amazing team has up their sleeves!
