5 Long Weekend Prosecco Inspired Cocktails

Rain or shine, it’s cocktail time! Spruce things up this long weekend & put a fun spin on these classics with local bubbly available at The Wine Shop

Frozen Aperol Spritz
Serves 4

• Bottle of XOXO Sparkling Pinot-Chardonnay
• 4 oz Aperol
• 4 oz freshly squeezed orange juice
• Orange slices (garnish)
• Ice cubes (1/2 tray)

A spin on the classic Italian aperitif – add Aperol, OJ & ice cubes into a blender, and blend until smooth. Pour the frozen mixture into your fav cocktail glasses, top with XOXO Sparkling Pinot-Chardonnay, garnish with an orange slice & enjoy!

Spicy Prosecco Margarita
Serves 4

• Bottle of Codorniu Clasico Brut
• 4 oz tequila of choice
• 4 oz Cointreau
• 1-2 jalapenos (sliced, depending on spice preference)
• Juice of 2 limes
• Lime wedges (garnish)
• Chili salt or rock salt (rim, depending on preference)
• Ice cubes (1/2 tray)

A fun take on the world famous margarita – glide the rim of your fav cocktail glasses with a lime wedge, and dip into your preferred salt. In a cocktail shaker, mix the tequila, Cointreau, jalapenos, lime juice and ice for approximately 30-seconds. Gently pour into your cocktail glasses (being mindful of the salt rim), top with Codorniu Clasico Brut, garnish with a lime wedge & enjoy!

Boozy Watermelon Pops
Serves 6-8 (depending on mold size)

• Bottle of Trius Brut Rosé
• Fresh watermelon (medium sized)
• Fresh lime juice
• Handful of mint leaves

Chop the watermelon into cubes, remove the seeds, and puree in a blender. Once smooth, add the Trius Brut Rosé, fresh lime juice & mint leaves, and blend until it’s mixed well. Pour the blended mixture into your popsicle molds, place in the freezer for 2-3 hours (or until frozen), and enjoy!

Moscow Brut
Serves 4

• Bottle of Trius Brut
• 4 oz vodka of choice
• Juice of 2 limes
• Lime wheels (garnish)
• 1 tbs fresh, finely graded ginger
• Handful of mint leaves (garnish)
• Ice cubes (1/2 tray)

A spin on the refreshing Moscow Mule – in a cocktail shaker, mix the vodka, lime juice, fresh ginger and ice for approximately 30 seconds. Strain the ingredients into your fav cocktails glasses with fresh ice, top with Trius Brut, garnish with a lime wheel & mint leaves…and enjoy!

Prosecco Mojito
Serves 4

• Bottle of Thirty Bench Sparkling Riesling
• 4 oz white rum of choice
• Juice of 2 limes
• Lime wheels/wedges (garnish)
• Handful of mint leaves
• Ice cubes (1/2 tray)

Not your average mojito – in your fav cocktail glasses, carefully muddle the mint leaves and lime juice. Once muddled, add ice, white rum (1 oz per glass), top with Thirty Bench Sparkling Riesling (sweeter than most proseccos, which is why sugar isn’t required…but feel free to add it for an extra kick), garnish with a lime wheel/wedge & enjoy!
